Gordon Tabi Achuo, a trained nurse, and pastor dedicated his lifetime making it his duty to help people to better their lives. His dream was to establish an institution with the aim of helping socially disadvantaged persons, especially underprivileged girls in his community (Limbe, Cameroon).

He was strongly motivated by the belief that an individual lacking an Education is like a carpenter without tools.He, therefore, decided to start building a nursery and primary school. Unfortunately, he passed away on March 27. 2010 without accomplishing his goals. Leaving behind his widow Mrs. Etta Martha Achuo who is inspired by her husband's dreams, though she did not have the opportunity to have a sound education herself. As a mother of 10 children and 27 grand- and great-grandchildren, Martha Etta Achuo is committed seeing the GTA school kids happy and has fun while at it.

Jane Leidig Achuo, one of his daughters also very passionate about this theme, took upon herself to execute this task.She thereby founded the GTA(Gordon Tabi Achuo) School Association on 19 July 2013 with the sole purpose of providing better quality education.With GTA School Association she hopes to heighten the awareness that Education can change lives and give the next generations a perspective for tomorrow.

In honor of her father's vision, Jane is fully dedicated to this cause. An Ideal which propelled her to leave behind her family at a youthful age to gain quality education in Germany.
